Vacancy : Technical Sales Engineer

Requirements:

1. Must be able to converse in German to a highly proficient standard
2. BSc in an Engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing) or Metallurgy would be highly desirable.
3. Approximately 10 years post graduate experience in industry
4. A natural Salesperson
5. Strong empathy and people skills
6. Strong practical engineering and problem solving skills
7. Sufficiently ambitious to progress to run the UK division

Responsible for:

1. Sales of sub-contract finishing services, plant & chemicals in the UK
2. The transfer & implementation of technical product knowledge from our German R&D laboratories to the UK division.
3. Accompanying customers on visits to our R&D laboratory in Germany
4. Resolving technically challenging customer problems using the groups’ knowledge and resources
5. Finding new markets for the groups technologically advanced surface treatment processes and chemicals

The successful candidate will be in a high profile role within the group on appointment and will meet regularly with the Group Chairman in Germany. The successful candidate will be ambitious and will find that there are no ceilings to their career progression. In the medium / longer term the opportunity to move on to full operational responsibility of the UK division, which they will have been instrumental in re-shaping, will be a very realistic target.

Remuneration package will include basic salary, car allowance and private car expenses, profit share, life insurance, pension, BUPA and 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays.
