POLINOX WeldClean is a high-performance electrolyte for electrolytic hand-held pickling devices to achieve the cleaning of welds on stainless steel.
POLINOX WeldClean removes weld scale and discolorations in a one-step process without affecting the metallic shine or color of the surface. POLINOX WeldClean is significantly faster acting than conventional products.
POLINOX WeldClean can be used with all wipe pickling devices currently on the market.
POLINOX WeldClean is non-toxic and does not contain hydrofluoric acid or nitric acid.

POLINOX WeldClean is supplied ready-to-use. Immersion of the pad-head impregnates the fleece/foam of the pickling head. Tarnishing and weld scale are removed electrolytically by speedy pass over the weld applying electric current. The optimal electric parameters, which have to be adjusted at the device, depend on the material and the quality of the weld. Applying high current densities work should be carried out speedily or the current density should be reduced in order to avoid fumes caused by overheating of the wipe head. The optimal temperature at the pickling area is 40-60°C.

After pickling the surfaces are thoroughly rinsed with lime free water or if specified with de-ionized water.
The rinse water is acidic and has to be neutralized according to the statutory laws and regulations.
